Find an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) In Bend, Oregon

To obtain an FAA medical certificate, you must be examined by an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) in Bend, Oregon. Follow these steps to apply for and obtain your first, second, or third class medical certificate:
  • Fill out the MedXPress form to complete the initial portion of the application. Keep track of the application number that you are provided after completing the application.
  • Schedule an appointment with an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) in Bend, Oregon. They might ask you for the aforementioned application number when scheduling your appointment. 

At your scheduled appointment, the AME will complete your medical examination and the remainder of the FAA application form. If you meet the required medical standards, the AME will issue you a medical certificate. ​
Which FAA Medical Certificate is right for Me?
  • A first class medical is required to in order to exercise privileges of an airline transport pilot certificate.
  • A second class medical is required in order to exercise privileges of a commercial pilot certificate.
  • A third class medical is sufficient to exercise privileges of a private pilot certificate, student pilot certificate, or recreational pilot certificate.
