Remote Pilot/Part 107 TRaining in Oregon
Since 2016, the Federal Aviation Administration has made it a requirement that any person who is being compensated to fly a UAS (aka "drone") must have a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate with a Small UAS rating. This means that if someone is paying you to fly a drone (compensation does not need to be monetary!), or if you are making money from content that was created with a drone, you are required by federal law to have a Remote Pilot Certificate.
The good news is that the process to obtain this license is easy and affordable. Oregon Flight School has partnered with UAV Coach to offer a fantastic Part 107 Remote Pilot ground school course that will teach you everything you need to know in order to pass the FAA Part 107 Written Test. Over 20,000 students have enrolled in the course, and have gone on to make millions of dollars by flying drones. And just case you were skeptical (we were at first when they approached us about partnering), the program has a 99% pass rate, and if you DON'T pass your test, they will refund all your money AND reimburse you for the testing fee.
