Oregon Flight Training Scholarships

There are many Oregon Flight Training Scholarships available to aspiring aviators. Below is a list of a few of them - and don't forget to check out the additional resources at the bottom of the page, as each one has many more scholarships that are available to pilots all throughout the country. 
  • EAA Chaper 105 (Twin Oaks) Youth Flight Scholarship - $1,500
    • Total of $16,000 in scholarships awarded annually
    • Ages 15-24 are eligible for powered flight; ages 13-24 are eligible for unpowered flight
    • Applications are accepted year-round
    • Financial need is not an eligibility requirement to apply for the scholarships granted through this program, although it may be considered alongside various other criteria considered by the committee when making selections.
  • Captain Michael King Smith Private Pilot Scholarship - $2,500 
    • Scholarships are available to two Yamhill County students (ages 16-18)
    • Applications due by Feb 28th
  • Captain Kevin Kyle Mosley Private Pilot Scholarship - $2,500
    • Awarded to one Oregon high school junior or senior (ages 16-18)
    • Applications due by Feb 28th
  • Ray Meyer Memorial Flight Fund Scholarship - $1,000
    • ​Applications accepted Feb 1st through April 30th and awarded no later than June 1
    • Must be at least 16 years old
    • Resident of Oregon
    • Member of Oregon Pilots Association, student pilot membership is free
    • Must have successfully soloed in a single or multi engine land airplane
    • Passage of FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test before funds will be released
    • Minimum 2.5 GPA if enrolled in High School or College
    • GED completion or High School graduation if not currently enrolled
